Gerda Kotze
Being an Organisational Resilience and Wellness specialist, High Performance Consultant, Executive and Leadership Coach, Gerda is particularly interested in working with leaders and the influence they have on other individuals, their teams and the culture of their businesses.
She is passionate about working with teams and guiding them through the phases of forming, storming, norming and eventually performing as a highly effective, mature and productive team. Gerda works with leaders and teams toward continuous enhancement of their effectiveness – both personally and professionally.
Resilience and Emotional Intelligence are extremely important to survive in the harsh and ever changing corporate environment. Constant change has become a challenging partner of companies and executives over the past decade.
These contemporary topics – Resilience, High Performance, Emotional Intelligence, being Future Ready and Future Fit – are crucial qualities for any company to enable them to prevent burn-out and deal effectively with constant change and dealing with the stress and strain of the challenging and often harsh corporate environment.
Companies are compelled to continuously re-assess their aspirations, visions and strategies, adapt and ensure that changes are implemented timeously across all levels of the organisation. Leaders and managers are expected to be able to do this seamlessly, to energise and motivate their employees and to be the ambassadors/champions of change in the workplace.
But in reality, managers can be as uncertain, apprehensive and stressed about change as the rest of the workforce. Being expected to be these agents for change, leaders and managers may find it challenging to openly discuss their concerns and fears, or their ideas around change implementation, with colleagues and line management. Therefore, as an executive and leadership coach and high performance consultant Gerda is committed to, and energised by every new opportunity to fulfil the role as a thinking partner, challenge-partner and accountability-partner.
Being a passionate, energetic, committed and intuitive person and coach, it is her focus and aim to create a safe space for individuals and teams to explore possibilities, connect to their purpose and achieve the performance and personal goals they set, but also to guide them to that position of balance within their lives that will maximise fulfilment and efficiency.
Furthermore, Gerda is also an accredited Neuro-leadership Trainer in programmes like Quiet Leadership and Brain Based Coaching Skills for Managers, and SCARF. She was the first South African woman accredited through the SEMCO STYLE INSTITUTE in Amsterdam to facilitate, train and implement this unique and inspirational Organisational and Leadership Model in South Africa.
The focus of the Semco Style Model is to make work awesome again, and empower organisations to be future ready and fit. She also has certifications in Meta Coaching, NLP and Design Thinking principles.
